It all started over a cup of coffee at Greenbelt. How to get a book to the intended reader. With no prior background in this side of the trade, the idea of putting up our own outfit to publish our works and future projects was just too hard to resist. Thus, Akda Publishers came to existence, registered on September 2008 in Manila, Philippines.
Who are we? Three young medical doctors who have always been irresistibly drawn to the world of literary and bonded together by this common passion: living our lives and writing about it. Pat (Clavecillas), ever the restless soul whose sense of adventure takes him to experiences that are beyond what he imagined before. Glorybelle (Molano), the most dependable, fiercely loyal friend you can ever think of whose dedication to whatever she does is simply legendary. Eva (Jover-Catedral), a budding ophthalmologist whose sharp wit matches her surgeon's hands on the table thus giving another person the chance to see the world again in a better light.
